In 2017 it was just an idea, in April 2019 it became reality: Based on the design proposals of Bernd Kußmaul GmbH, two new type of referee chairs celebrated their world premiere at the last Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. By combining an unusual idea with selected materials, the Weinstädter Manufaktur was able to create a link to the quality features of the noble sports car brand from Zuffenhausen. The “high seats” on the Center Court in the Porsche Arena as well as on the adjacent square in the Schleyer Hall not only thrilled the Grand Slam-experienced professional referees, but were also real “eye-catchers” for the audience of the tournament. But not only that: Bernd Kußmaul GmbH is also responsible for the referee chair on the Center Court at the Women’s Tennis World Championships in October this year in Shenzhen, China.
