What already worked real successfully in April finds its crowning end of the year. When the eight world’s best tennis ladies meet for the 2019 WTA Finals in Shenzhen (China) from October 27th to November 3rd, the referee’s chair will again be something very special.
Bernd Kussmaul had already set high standards at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart in April with an extraordinary idea including selected materials and provided a real eye-catcher alongside the exciting matches. The professional referees as well as the players were enthusiastic about the stylish high seats design by KUSSMAUL. At the WTA finals in the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre, the referees on the Center Court will once again sit in the elegant high seat, that is usually installed in the Porsche 911 sports car.
The sports car manufacturer has been very active in women’s tennis for the last years. Not only as a sponsor and organizer of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. Porsche is also one of the top sponsors at the WTA Finals in Shenzhen.
Compared to the tournament in Stuttgart, there is one more special feature at the women’s finals in China. In the so-called “On-Court Seats”, tennis fans are particularly close to the action. The two elegant white sports seats, by the way have the same design as the referee’s chair, are located right next to the Center Court. Rarely have tennis fans and referees sat so comfortable and stylish as at the WTA Finals 2019 in Shenzhen.
