Sport is more than competition. It’s about the shared journey, the sense of togetherness, and the trust within a team – all of which are symbolized by the new trophy of the STB Mixed Cup 2025, designed by Bernd Kussmaul GmbH. Each athlete takes home a piece of the trophy as a medal – a living symbol of unity, team spirit, and collective achievement.
A Tangible Piece of Victory for Everyone
What began in 2019 with glowing medals now enters its next stage of evolution: The Mixed Cup trophy is not only technically innovative but also emotionally charged. Each piece contributes to the whole – just like in a real team, where everyone matters. Inspired by a Kussmaul project with nunc. – next level coffee, the integrated WiFi technology ensures that the individual parts of the trophy connect and light up when brought together.
STB Mixed Cup – Illuminating the Power of Teamwork
When the STB Mixed Cup steps into the light for the first time, it shines in the proud colors of the Swabian Gymnastics Federation – a symbol of origin, passion, and sporting spirit. But its true magic only reveals itself in the moment of triumph.
Framed in the upper ring: seven golden segments – the medals for the winning team. One by one, they are detached from the trophy during the ceremonial presentation and pinned onto the athletes. With each medal awarded, the wearer begins to glow – in the very same colors that shine from the trophy itself. A visual ribbon of light that says: We belong together.
Only once every team member has received their medal does everything change. The trophy is handed over – and in that very moment, both the trophy and the medals transform into radiant gold. It is a quiet, powerful, and unforgettable moment: Unity. Team spirit. The feeling of having achieved something together. Of having won.
The STB Mixed Cup is more than just a trophy – it’s a living testament to the journey a team has traveled together. It embodies the trust that binds them, the strength that carries them, and the moment when individual efforts merge into a singular, golden unity. It’s the story of victory, of shared dreams, and the power of coming together as one.
STB and Kussmaul – A Powerful Partnership, Built on Trust and Innovation
For years, the Swabian Gymnastics Federation (STB) and Bernd Kussmaul GmbH have shared a relationship built on trust, open communication, and common visions. The STB provides the stage – Kussmaul brings technology and design expertise. This partnership makes innovation in sports both visible and tangible.
The Intersection of Design and Discipline
The trophy is a masterpiece crafted through 3D metal printing: 460 mm tall, weighing 5.3 kg, with delicate and hollow-built struts inspired by the dynamic movements of gymnastics, designed to incorporate lighting technology. Hand-polished medals made of aluminum, anodized in gold, silver, and bronze, are attached to high-quality, sustainable ribbons from Bauer Bandweberei. As in 2019, the ribbons are 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly in 2025 – another contribution to responsible design in sports. The base is made of 3D-printed plastic, with the surface refined with a durable nanocoating.
Team Spirit Made Visible
“The Mixed Cup thrives on diversity, on what people can achieve together,” says Bernd Kussmaul. “This trophy shows that success is not an individual victory – but the result of trust, discipline, and collaboration.” It’s a statement: for appreciation, for community, for the power of the team..
At the same time, the Mixed Cup also reflects the philosophy of Bernd Kussmaul GmbH – because here, too, success is built through collaboration. In an environment shaped by mutual respect, shared goals, and cooperative work, a strong team emerges that achieves extraordinary things together.
A Trophy Crafted with Heart, Technology, and Soul.
The STB Mixed Cup 2025 is more than just a competition. It’s a symbol of what’s possible when people come together, support each other, and achieve greatness as one. The trophy serves as a reminder – in every hand, in every piece, in every moment of light.
